Stainless Steel Box Section - Cut to Size
SKU: SSB0780-conf
Stainless Steel Box Section also referred to as a "Square Tube" is supplied in Grade 304, referred to as a ‘catering’ grade has good corrosion resistance and is non-magnetic. This material also has a brushed effect on the outside face.
The square shape can be easily fabricated into modular structures.
The stainless steel box section is available to order in the following thicknesses:
Typical Uses for Stainless Steel Box Sections:
- Architectural and Construction: Stainless steel box sections are often used in architectural and construction applications for structural components, facades, handrails, and decorative elements. Their corrosion resistance and modern appearance make them a popular choice.
- Structural Support: Stainless steel box sections provide structural support in buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects, thanks to their strength and resistance to corrosion.
- Marine and Coastal Applications: Stainless steel's resistance to saltwater corrosion makes it ideal for marine and coastal applications, including boat and shipbuilding, dock construction, and offshore oil platforms.
- Transportation: Stainless steel box sections are used in the automotive and aerospace industries for various components, such as aircraft frames, car chassis, and exhaust systems.
- Food Processing and Pharmaceuticals: Stainless steel's hygienic properties and resistance to corrosion make it a common choice for equipment and machinery in the food processing and pharmaceutical industries, including conveyor systems and storage.
- Medical Equipment: Stainless steel box sections are used in the manufacture of medical equipment, such as hospital bed frames, surgical tables, and sterilization equipment.
- Chemical and Petrochemical Industry: These sections are utilized in the construction of chemical processing plants and equipment due to their resistance to corrosive chemicals.
- Energy and Power Generation: Stainless steel box sections are used in power plants, including nuclear, fossil fuel, and renewable energy facilities, for structural components and equipment exposed to harsh environments.
- Water Treatment and Wastewater Management: Stainless steel is favored for its corrosion resistance in water treatment facilities, including pipes, tanks, and treatment equipment.
- Environmental and Sustainability Projects: Stainless steel box sections are used in projects aimed at environmental sustainability, such as recycling bins, waste containers, and support structures for renewable energy installations.
- Custom Fabrication and Artwork: Stainless steel box sections are employed by artisans and fabricators to create custom furniture, sculptures, and artwork due to their aesthetic appeal and ease of manipulation.
- HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning): Stainless steel sections are used in HVAC systems for ductwork, air handling units, and exhaust systems because of their corrosion resistance and longevity.
- Automated Manufacturing Systems: Stainless steel is used in the construction of frames and supports for automated manufacturing systems due to its durability and stability.
- Security and Fencing: Stainless steel box sections are utilized in security systems and fencing because of their strength and resistance to corrosion.
- Racking and Shelving: These sections are used in industrial settings for racking and shelving systems, providing sturdy storage solutions.
