Stainless Steel Equal Angle - Cut to Size
SKU: SSA0982-conf
Our Stainless Steel Formed Angle is supplied with two different finishes, Satin Polished or Descaled, and two Grades, 304 and 316.
Our Satin Polished Stainless Steel Formed Angle is a premium choice for both aesthetic and functional purposes. Supplied in Grade 304, it combines a visually appealing finish with the strength and durability of stainless steel. The outside faces are protected with a removable PVC film to ensure the polished finish remains pristine during transportation and installation.
Grade 304 is the most versatile and widely used stainless steel. It is still sometimes referred to by its old name 18/8 which is derived from the nominal composition of type 304 being 18% chromium and 8% nickel.
Grade 316 is an austenitic grade of stainless steel bar referred to as 'marine grade'. It has good machining properties combined with excellent corrosion resistance.
While the Descaled (non-polished) Finish is available in both Grade 316 and 304 and is suitable for applications where appearance is not a priority, the Satin Polished finish, available in Grade 304, provides a smooth, aesthetically pleasing surface that is ideal for visible applications.
The stainless steel equal angle is available to order in the following thicknesses:
TYPICAL USES FOR STAINLESS STEEL EQUAL ANGLES:
- Metal Frames: Whether it's for furniture, shelving, or larger structural frames, the equal sides of the angle provide stability and uniformity, ensuring the frame can bear weight and withstand external pressures.
- Metal Brackets: These angles are ideal for creating sturdy metal brackets used in various applications, from holding up shelves to securing heavy machinery. Their corrosion-resistant properties ensure longevity, even in environments exposed to moisture or chemicals.
- Steel Chassis: In the automotive and machinery industries, stainless steel equal angles can be used to construct robust chassis. Ensuring that vehicles or machines are both stable and durable.
- Machinery Parts: Many industrial machines require specific parts that can endure high stress and wear. Stainless steel equal angles can be incorporated into essential components, ensuring the machinery operates efficiently and safely.
- Metal Construction: In larger construction projects, such as buildings or bridges, stainless steel equal angles can be used as integral structural elements. They offer both support and shape to the overall construction, ensuring longevity and safety.
- Industrial Applications: Due to their strength and resistance to corrosion, these angles are widely used in various industrial applications, from constructing walkways and platforms to framing for safety barriers.
- Agricultural Applications: In the agricultural sector, stainless steel equal angles can be used in the construction of equipment, storage structures, and even animal enclosures. Their durability ensures they can withstand the rigours of farming environments.
- Architectural Installations: Modern architectural designs often incorporate stainless steel for its sleek appearance and structural benefits. Equal angles can be used in various installations, from staircases to facades, adding both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.
- Decorative Structures: Beyond their functional uses, stainless steel equal angles can also be used in decorative structures, such as sculptures, art installations, or garden features. Their shiny finish and resistance to weathering make them a popular choice for outdoor decorative elements.
- Marine Environments: Given the corrosion-resistant properties of stainless steel, equal angles are an excellent choice for applications in marine environments. They can be used in the construction of docks, piers, and other structures exposed to saltwater.
- Safety Barriers: In commercial and public environments, stainless steel equal angles can be used to create safety barriers or railings. Their strength ensures that these barriers provide effective protection, while their sleek appearance adds to the visual appeal.
- Shelving and Storage: In both commercial and residential settings, these angles can be used to construct durable shelving and storage solutions, capable of holding heavy items without bending or warping.
